Caledonian Marts Ltd had their weekly Sale of 1042 Prime Sheep & 185 Cast Ewes.
Prime Hoggs met an unbelievable trade, straight export lambs selling from 410ppk to 425ppk. A heavy show pulled the average under 400ppk however a tremendous average per head. Many more could’ve been sold to the sellers advantage.
Prime Hoggs averaged 394ppkg with an SQQ of 403ppk and £178 per head. The sale topped at 583ppk for a Beltex from DS & RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill and to £245 from the same home and S & JE Andrew, Letter, Dunkeld.
Cast Ewes sold to £251 for a Texel from Henderson, Whitehouse, Stirling.
Cast Tups sold to £261 for a Blue De Main from G McFarlane, Muirmealing, Saline.
