Caledonian Marts Ltd held their Sale of Prime Cattle, Young Bulls, OTM’s & Calves.
OTM’s met the dearest trade this year. With many more required, all classes, all weights and all ages!
Prime Heifers averaged 372ppk selling to 420ppk for a Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead, Strichen and per head to £2601 for a Limousin from J & N Kerr, Bankhead, Fife.
Prime Bullocks averaged 355ppk selling to 400ppk for a Limousin from AA & J Brand, Nethermyres, Auchtermuchty and per head to £2599 for a Limousin from J & N Kerr, Bankhead, Fife.
Young Bulls average 321ppk selling to 352ppk for a Limousin from N A McCulloch, Kenmuir, Stranraer and per head to £2449 for a Limousin again from N A McCulloch, Kenmuir, Stranraer.
OTM Cattle averaged 295ppk selling to 329ppk for a Limousin from J & N Kerr, Bankhead, Fife and per head to £2700 for the same beast from J & N Kerr, Bankhead, Fife.
Black and Whites averaged 264ppk selling to 313ppk for a Friesian from Balgreggan Farms, Stranraer and per head to £2280 for a Friesian from W &M Wylie, Broompark, Bathgate.
On milk calves averaged £428 selling to £550 for a British Blue from J & C I Reade, Scriob, Mull.
