Caledonian Marts Ltd held their Sale of Prime Cattle, Young Bulls, OTM’s & Calves.
Prime Heifers averaged 368ppkg selling to 425ppkg for a Limousin from W M Pettigrew, Faskine purchased by D Campbell, Butchers, Callander and to £2772 for a British Blue from Ross Brothers, Wardhead, Strichen.
Prime Bullocks averaged 356ppkg selling to 402ppkg on two occasions for Limousins from Ross Brothers, Wardhead Strichen and to £2995 for an Aberdeen Angus also from Ross Brothers.
Young Bulls averaged 330ppkg selling to 338ppkg for a Stabiliser from W Robertson & Son, Nether Fordoun and to £2370 for a Luing from W Robertson, Nether Fordoun.
OTM Cattle averaged 260ppkg selling to 290ppkg for a British Blue from R & J Lines, Killocraw, Campbeltown and to £2480 for a British Blue from W & M Wylie, Broompark.
Cast Males sold to 256ppkg for a Charolais from J Mclaren & Son, Murrayshall and to £2950 for the same Bull.
Black and Whites sold to 262ppkg from R Campbell Meikle Seggie and to £1700 from the same home.
