Caledonian Marts Ltd held their weekly Sale of 65 Prime Cattle, Young Bulls & 39 OTM Cattle.
With a Heavy Show of Prime Bullocks they averaged 348ppkg selling to 422ppkg for a Limousin from DS & RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill purchased by T Johnstons, Butcher, Falkirk and to £2678 for a Limousin from AA & J Brand, Nethermyres, Auchtermuchty purchased by J Gilvear & Sons, Graystale, Stirling.
Prime Heifers averaged 389ppkg selling to 440p on two occasions for Limousins from W M Pettigrew, Faskine, Airdrie purchased by G Kirk, Butchers, Denny and D Campbell & Sons, Butchers, Callander and to £2886 for a Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead, Strichen purchased by J Gilvear & Sons, Graystale, Stirling.
Young Bulls sold to 332ppkg for a Luing from W Robertson & Son, Nether Fordoun, Auchterarder and to £2826 for a Limousin from J R MacGregor, Dyke, Milton of Campsie.
OTM’s averaged 270ppkg selling to 314ppkg for a Limousin from JH & JT Turnbull, Meadowend, Clackmannan and to £2900 for a British Blue also from Meadowend.
OTM Males sold £2650 for an Aberdeen Angus Bull from Msr Patterson & Sons, Stenhouse, Kirkcaldy.
