A mixed show of cattle with a few weathered types forward met a strong demand.
Bullocks averaged 444.73p per kg selling to 595p per kg for a pen of Angus from Fairview farms and to £2600 for a Simmental from A & J Orr, Hill O’ Harthill.
Heifers averaged 438.3p per kg selling to 573p per kg for a pen of Angus again from Fairview Farms and to £2020 for a Limousin from D Reid, Wester Jaw.
Black and White Bullocks sold to 386p per kg for a pen from A H S Drummond, Glenside, Stranraer and to £1780 from Glenside Farms.
