Caledonian Marts Ltd held their weekly Sale of Prime Sheep & Cast Ewes.
Lambs sold well with well fleshed lambs coming to strong PPK, Heavy lambs were a firm trade with lots of pens over £160 per head. Cast ewes would be dearer with all classes in high demand.
Prime lambs averaged 314ppk selling to 417ppk for a Beltex from D Nicol, Auchtenny and to £192 per head from the same home.
Cast ewes sold to £271 for a Texel from A M Duncan, Easter Dullatur.
Cast Tups sold to £184 for a Texel from R & W Waugh, Summerhouse.
