Caledonian Marts Ltd had their weekly Sale of Prime Sheep & Cast Ewes.
New Season Lambs averaged 447ppk with an SQQ of 500ppk selling to 600ppk for a Beltex from DS & RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, Muthill and to £262 for a pen of Texel’s from P G Perring, Hoprig, Berwickshire.
Old Season Lambs averaged 384ppk selling to 465ppk on two occasions for a pen of Texel’s from A Taylor, Heatheryhall, Thankerton and for Beltex’s from DS & RC Taylor, Easter Ochtermuthill, and to £240 for a single Texel from A Taylor, Heatheryhall.
Cast Ewes sold to £233 for a Texel from P G Perring, Hoprig, Berwickshire.
Cast Tups sold to £219 for a Bluefaced Leicester from D MacGregor, Burnhead, Kilsyth.
