Sale of Prime Cattle, Young Bulls and OTM’s.
Prime Cattle still met a respectful trade flying ahead of deadweight with Heifers averaging 400.91ppk selling to 468ppk for an outstanding Black Limousin full of meat coming down from Ross Brothers, Wardhead and to £2972 for the same beast.
Prime Bullocks averaged 388.06ppk selling to 422ppk on two occasions from A A & J Brand, Nethermyres and J & J Wyllie, Knockhouse purchased by W F Stark, Butchers, Fife and W Pinkerton, Helensburgh and to £2963 for a Simmental from J S Robertson, Lathrisk.
Young Bulls sold to 350ppk or £2982 from J R MacGregor, Dyke.
A smaller show of OTM’s with mainly feeding types forward, averaging 273.56ppk selling to 395ppk for a Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead and to £2460 from Ardionra, Isle of Iona.
Cast Bulls sold to £2500 for a Simmental from A M Duncan, Easter Dullatur.
Dairy cows sold to 355ppk from Balgreggan Farms, Stranraer and to £2020 from the same home.
