The vendors at the Cally pulled it out the bag today with an unbelievable show of cattle forward.

Overall champion at the Cally Christmas Show went to S & L Bett of Boquhan Home Farm for a Limousin heifer weighing 526kg selling for 540p per kg and was purchased by Judge Jimmy Stark.
Reserve champion went to W Peters, Monzie for a British Blue heifer weighing 566kg selling for 520p per kg and was purchased by Briggy’s Butchers, Jedburgh.
Bullocks averaged 422.27p per kg at 622kg selling to 448p per kg for a Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead purchased by T Johnston, Butchers, Falkirk and to £3147 for a Shorthorn from T Taylor, Heatheryhall, purchased by Bowland Foods, Preston.
Heifers averaged 434.38p per kg at 610kg selling to 540p per kg for the Overall champion and to £3184 for a Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead purchased by Bowland Foods, Preston.
Young Bulls averaged 361p per kg selling to 395p per kg at £3144 to WI & AW Callion, Balfornought.
Heifers 30-36 Months averaged 409.57p per kg selling to 430p per kg at £3230 for Limousin from Ross Brothers, Wardhead.
For interest the prime heifers are up 90.38p per kg or £577 on the year. Bullocks are up 92.27p per kg or £679!!
The OTM’s averaged 255ppk selling to 334ppk for a smashing Limousin from W I & AW Callion, Bolfornought and to £2560 for a smart 12 year old Limousin from W & M Wylie, Broompark.
